A Pawtion to Brew Trouble
Nya! I was reading about the history of meowgical traditions yesterday, when I came across a recipe that struck me. It's from the Picatrix, the latin translation of a 10th century arabic manuscript called Ghayat al-Hakim. The purpose of this pawtion is to sow discord, and here is the recipe1:
"Take four ounces of the blood of a black dog, two ounces each of pig blood and brains, and one ounce of donkey brains. Mix all this together until well blended. When you give this medicine to someone in food or drink, he will hate you".
Yeah, no shit! I would hate you too!!!
I'm sharing this recipe not only because it's funny, but also because it's a good reminder that sometimes taking mundane actions is more than enough. You don't need to slaughter poor animals and risk getting (or giving!) a blood-borne disease to make somebody hate you. Just bite them. Bite them for no reason. They will hate you.
